Mixdesign is seeking an Interior Designer for Concept design, Interior Specifications and Project Development for our commercial interior design and attraction ideation.
The ideal candidate will be self motivated with great communication, an understanding of carpentry and ability to confidently design themed display buildouts while being proficient in 3D rendering programs.
At mixdesign we create and masterplan educational attractions, community spaces and unique themed commercial interior projects.
Interior Design Tasks• General interior design project coordination
• Assisting in communication and management of deadlines
• White boxing of projects
• Working with graphic design team to bring project goals to life
• Coordinate with story team to ensure theming and environmental visuals properly come to life
• Create shop build documents for furniture, kiosks and themed build outs
• Selection of Materials, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment for entire spaces
• Cration of space plans and ultimately 3D versions of the plan
• Createn project renderings, sketches and presentations
• Render efficiently and to highest potential using CAD, Rhino, Sketchup or the like
• Create Mood Boards and Presentations
• Collaborate with the Account Manager and Creative Directors to seek approvals and next steps
• Understand client hopes and project vision
• Continually push creativity
• Continually learn and grow outside of the box thinking
• Assist in maintaining updated library
Requirements
• Proven Experience in the Interior Design Field
• Degree in Interior Design or Similar
• Strong Creative Portfolio in Interior Design
• Proficiency in Rhino, CAD, Sketch up, Photoshop, Illustrator (at least 2 )
• Ability to improve and create processes, communicate goals and outcomes to coworkers
• Great and friendly communication skills with customers, vendors and employees
• Team oriented and happy to be at work
